As the nights draw in and the weather gets colder, our superstar marathon runner Justyna Wojciechowska is making the final training push for her entry in the Thames Meander Marathon on Saturday 3rd November. Something different for the SERV volunteers this weekend and proof that all the extra training we do pays off. A contingent from SERV SSL were riding to the National Memorial Arboretum as part of the ‘Ride to the Wall 2018’ event. It’s Blood Bike Awareness Day and we are at the National Conference Centre for the handover of our new bike named, Mark Mason. As you can probably guess by the name this bike has been generously donated to us by The Mark Benevolent Fund and supported by The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons and NABB. We were pleased to escort BT4TW through the streets of London on their annual trip to Royal Hospital Chelsea. On the 29th July, 22 of our members honed their skills by attending a days training with BikeSafe-London. The day turned out to be extremely wet but yet fun and most importantly everyone developed their riding in some way. On the Saturday 7th October, 9 members of SERV – Surrey & South London joined thousands of other bikers to pay their respects to the fallen at the National Memorial Arboretum by taking part in the 10th annual Ride to the Wall. Our volunteers have various backgrounds but for those who are veterans or still serving this is a poignant moment .....read more.
On the 8th of October SERV – Surrey & South London are taking part in a Swimathon organised by the Rotary Club of Woking. This event will raise money for local charitable causes via sponsorship. This year’s charities are: Samber RDA (Riding for the Disabled), Woking Street Angels, Woking & Sam Beare Hospices and Horsell Village School .....read more.

A different type of delivery for our SERV SSL volunteers on Sunday 13th August. Our members supported Bike Tours For The Wounded by escorting over a hundred military veterans, their friends, family and motorbikes from the M4 services at Heston to the Royal Hospital Chelsea.
