On the Saturday 7th October, 9 members of SERV – Surrey & South London joined thousands of other bikers to pay their respects to the fallen at the National Memorial Arboretum by taking part in the 10th annual Ride to the Wall. On the 8th of October SERV – Surrey & South London are taking part in a Swimathon organised by the Rotary Club of Woking. This event will raise money for local charitable causes via sponsorship. A different type of delivery for our SERV SSL volunteers on Sunday 13th August. Our members supported Bike Tours For The Wounded by escorting over a hundred military veterans, their friends, family and motorbikes from the M4 services at Heston to the Royal Hospital Chelsea. On the 30th May, 12 of our members attended a Biker Down course held at Guildford Fire Station. The course was conducted by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service in collaboration with members of Wey Valley Advanced Motorcyclists ( WVAM ). Thanks to the Surrey Biker Down team, our members left trained in valuable life saving skills and feeling confident they could assist .....read more.
As a result of the Waitrose Community Matters scheme, which helps provide support to local charities, SERV Surrey & South London were the grateful recipients of a cheque for £321.00 from Waitrose in Haslemere.
