As a result of the Waitrose Community Matters scheme, which helps provide support to local charities, SERV Surrey & South London were the grateful recipients of a cheque for £321.00 from Waitrose in Haslemere.  We would like to thank all of the customers of Waitrose stores who use their green tokens to support the work that we do.

On Tuesday 2nd May SERV Surrey & South London were delighted to be able to assist fellow Blood Runner Groups with the transportation of blood samples from Countess of Chester Hospital in Chester to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill in London. The sample left Countess of Chester Hospital at 10.00 carried by Shropshire and Staffordshire Blood Bikes and was taken to Hilton Park Service where it was transferred to a rider from Midland Freewheelers who .....read more.
Congratulations to Bloodrun who have just received a donation which will enable them to purchase a new Yamaha FJR 1300 Blood Bike. Both Bloodrun EVS and SERV – Surrey and South London have been the beneficiaries of money used to purchase new motorcycles which was donated by The Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons. Thanks to Fins Motorcycles

Thanks to Fin and his team at Fins Motorcycles in Redhill, who have fabricated custom brackets and fitted sturdy racks to our 2 Triumph Tiger 800 fleet bikes. Fundraising at Sainsbury’s Brookwood

Cheque presented by Waitrose Esher

A big thank you to our regular supporters at Waitrose,Esher. Earlier today Julie presented our members Ray Semmens, Derek Holmes and Darren Pearson with a cheque for £290. These funds were raised by the Waitrose Community Matters Project which donates money each month to a charity that receives the most votes by customers.

On Sunday 9th April we at SERV – Surrey & South London carried out our annual Easter Egg Run to Evelina London Children’s Hospital​. Around 18 members rode in convoy through the streets of London on the hottest day of the year so far. Our Citroen DS3, sponsored by Charters Citroen Aldershot​ along with a car from NHSBT who also donated a boot full of chocolate, carried the brunt of the eggs following at the rear. On the 6th April our rider Ray assisted with the Paint Fleet Blue Campaign by delivering hundreds of samples to Frimley Park Hospital. The samples were taken throughout the evening to screen against prostate cancer. These were conveyed by our motorcycle that was purchased by The Grand Lodge Of Mark Master Masons London earlier this year. The money to run the campaign was raised by the residents of Fleet and by fundraising by the Fleet Lions Club. Over 220 .....read more.
SERV S&SL are delighted to announce the resumption of a Human Breast Milk Collection Service. An agreement has been signed with Evelina London Children’s Hospital to collect fresh frozen breast milk from donors within the London area to maintain the Hospitals’ milk bank. Collections will be made on a regular basis by volunteers giving up their free time to help others. This service will be carried out during working hours on 2 new Triumph .....read more.

Kingston Hospital requests a special transfer

On 26th February Kingston Hospital​ made their first use of SERV Surrey & South London’s free blood runner’s service provided to the NHS. At 01.50 the Pathology department requested a sample to be taken to the National Blood Centre at Filton, Bristol. Normally the charity only operates within Surrey and London but this was a special request and we try to help out whenever possible.
