A Model Service!

November 7, 2013 // 0 Comments

Our colleagues in the Devon Freewheelers are a model blood runner service in more ways than one! They have been immortalised in model form by Babbacombe Model Village, Torquay, along with their bikes. The photo was shared by Safe Response, the Devon based emergency responder supplies store, who also have a vehicle featured in the display. It is nice to see blood runners getting some more.

A night encounter with KSSAA

Whilst doing our usual restock run from East Surrey Hospital to the  Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance at Redhill Aerodrome, our volunteer Alan was lucky enough to see one of the aircraft come into land after a night training flight. Until recently, the aircraft and crew were not cleared for night flying, instead making emergency calls late at night in a fast response more.
SERV Surrey & South London has been short listed (last4), from hundreds of local worthy causes for the Lloyd’s Community Fund 2013. If we are voted 1st or 2nd, we will be awarded £3,000. That would mean we could do even more good work. We would really appreciate it if you could help by voting for us via the internet or text. The winners are more.

We are very fortunate to have been a beneficiary of the money raised for good causes by Woking Rotary Club so it is a pleasure to be able to more.

It’s not often that we get a call from our colleagues at SERV Norfolk but that’s what happened last night when they needed to get a sample to RSCH Guildford in our patch. Norfolk handed over the sample to SERV Herts & Beds – The Real Bloodrunners who in turn passed it on to Serv – Oxon, Bucks, Northants & Berks. more.

Members of SERV – Surrey & South London were at the Ally Pally for the Classic Bike Show over the weekend to promote our service to those in attendance. There was plenty of interest over the course of the show and hopefully some new volunteers.
