SERV Surrey & South London’s Eggs-ellent Volunteers

Sunday, March 20 (Palm Sunday) saw some of our volunteer Bloodrunners ride out from New Malden to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.  The volunteers, who are more likely to be seen out late at night delivering blood and blood products to hospitals, without charge to the NHS and Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance were delivering essential supplies of a different kind.  This time, their precious cargoes were chocolate Easter eggs for the children at Evelina.  The riders were greeted at the hospital by some of the staff and children, some of whom were able to inspect the bikes.  Our volunteers visited the children on the wards who were not well enough to come out side and handed out in egg-cess of 400 Easter eggs!
