Our rider Ray linked up with Nottinghamshire Blood Bikes on the 5th April to collected a package traveling down from Edinburgh. The package started off at Edinburgh Children’s Hospital and was picked up by Blood Bikes Scotland around 1300, who then took it on the first 56 miles leg to Berwick-upon-Tweed. at Berwick-upon-Tweed the rider was met by Northumbria .....read more.
The latest stats are in from Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, and to date, 129 transfusions have been carried out, 69 of these in 2014 so far. Since February 2013, volunteer riders and drivers for SERV Surrey & South London have been restocking Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance at their Redhill base enabling them to carry out lifesaving transfusions .....read more.
In 2010, the first year of actually tracking our runs using a method from which reports can be extracted, SERV – Surrey & South London completed 899 runs and approximately 18,375 delivery miles. 362 of those runs were helping SERV Kent and 214 helping SERV Sussex. Delivery mileage does not include our volunteers getting to the collection point or returning home again .....read more.
